Bikers Staging Massive Protest Against “Million Muslim March” Scheduled For 9/11

The best way to counter bad speech is to oppose it with good speech. Sometimes “speech” can be expressed simply by the number of people who are willing to show up to support a principle. That’s the view that hundreds of bikers (so far) across America have as they prepare to join a “2 MILLION BIKER RIDE TO DC” to counter the planned September 11 “Million Muslim March” on DC.
Mr. Conservative already reported that a group called the “American Muslim Political Action Committee” (AMPAC), announced a “Million Muslim March” on Washington D.C. this coming September 11, the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that killed 2,996 people on American soil. Those who flew the planes were al Qaeda members acting on behalf of their fundamentalist, jihad-based interpretation of Islam.
The purpose behind the proposed “Million Muslims” march, say its organizers, is to “demand that our [Muslim] civil rights be protected by our government.” This is, of course, a ridiculous claim on its face, because the organizers cannot cite to any laws, at any government level (town, city, state, or federal), that discriminate against Muslims. And to the extent that every years sees a couple of thousand religiously-motivated hate crimes in America (out of a 300 million population), FBI records show that Jewish people are victims of those crimes five times more often than Muslims are.
According to Dr. Zudhi Jasser, president of the Islamic Forum for Democracy (and he is, indeed, a true friend of democracy, not a double-talker), the march’s organizers are a motley, unsavory collection of “virulent anti-Semites who think 9/11 was a conspiracy theory.” As far as Dr. Jasser is concerned, the organizers are “exploiting the murders and horrific acts of 9/11.”

This isn’t just Dr. Jasser’s opinion. AMPAC carefully spells out these exactly views on its website:
For example, there is widespread agreement in the community (though this is censored by the current leadership) that the “war on terror” is a hoax and that the official story of 9/11 is not true. [snip] Since Muslims have suffered extreme discrimination due to the phony “war on terror,” this issue deserves to be at the top of Muslims’ list of political priorities.
Ugly though the Million Muslim March is, it’s taking place in America and we value and protect free speech – even if it’s ugly, hate-filled speech. Freedom loving people also understand that the best way to oppose bad ideas in the marketplace of ideas is to counter with good ideas. To that end, a group of bikers has created a Facebook page to promote “2 MILLION BIKERS TO DC”:
The purpose behind the proposed counter-demonstration in Washington D.C. on September 11 is a simple one (emphasis added):
This EVENT is for those who SUPPORT and want to DEFEND AMERICA FROM those who wish to “FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM” us from a FREE country to an enslaved country!! ** IF YOU ARE HERE TO CAUSE TROUBLE YOU WILL BE DELETED [A]ND BAN[NED]!**
So far, more than 700 people have stated that they are going, with new RSVPs coming in by the minute. In addition, over 300 people have said that they be going:
Although something between 700 and more than 1000 attendees may not sound like much when compared to the “2 million bikers” goal, keep in mind that the “Million Muslims” march has managed to get fewer than 100 people to RSVP “yes.”
We here at Mr. Conservative believe strongly in free speech and in peaceable assembly aimed at providing physical, visual proof that the number of people in America who actively oppose the anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism that lies behind this “Million Muslim March” far outweigh the number of people who support this nonsense. As has been seen in freedom protests in India during the 1940s, in Poland during the 1980s, and in the Ukraine just a few years ago, hundreds or thousands of people assembling peacefully to support individual liberty and freedom is an incredibly powerful force.
