Quick! How many Americans have radical Islamists killed since 2001, counting terror attacks against civilians and war casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan? If you answered approximately 10,000 people, you are correct!
Next question: How many Americans have Tea Party members killed since the Tea Party’s creation? If you answered ZERO, you are correct!
Third and final question, which is multiple choice: Who do Obama supporters identify as the most dangerous terrorists in the world? (a) Radical Islamists or (b) Tea Partiers. If you answered (b), you are correct!
And no, that’s not a mistake. In a recent Rasmussen poll, when people who self-identified as strongly supportive of Obama were asked to identify the most significant terrorist threat to America, 26% of them said the Tea Party was the biggest threat.
Outside of this pocket of Leftism, 51% of likely U.S. voters think radical Muslims are the bigger terrorist threat. Only 13% of “ordinary” Americans view the Tea Party as the most significant terrorist threat, while another 13% designate generic non-Tea Party, non-Muslim extremism as the biggest threat.
Getting back to those Obama supporters, only 29% of them worry about radical Islam. On the other side of the spectrum – people who disapprove of Obama’s performance – 75% consider radical Muslims to be a bigger terrorist threat. Only 1% of them named the Tea Party.
Oh, and here’s one more for you: 20% of government workers see the Tea Party as the biggest terrorist threat. We’re not sure, but we suspect that most of that 20% work for the IRS.
For a long time, Progressives have labeled themselves the “reality-based party.” They claim that their ideology addresses the real world, not some loony rightwing combination of “Leave It To Beaver” and the Third Reich. Yet it’s always the Progressives who deny reality: they deny that 16 years of data put the lie to the global warming theory; they deny that the forces that justified abortion (the stigma of unmarried pregnancy and bastardy; the absence of birth control options; and medical ignorance about fetuses) no longer exist; and they pretend that Muslims haven’t killed anybody but Tea Partiers have.
Leftists aren’t the reality-based party; they are the delusional party. The sad thing is that they’ve been able to convince more than half of American voters to embrace their madness.
